Ο Σταύρος Πανέρας γεννήθηκε το 1989 και έκτοτε ζει στην Αθήνα. Οι σπουδές του στα Διεθνή και Ευρωπαϊκά Οικονομικά (Α.Σ.Ο.Ε.Ε.) και η μεταπτυχιακή του ειδίκευση στη Διαχείριση Κρίσεων και Φυσικών Καταστροφών (Ε.Κ.Π.Α.) συνέθεσαν ένα πρώτο πεδίο έρευνας γύρω από τη σύγχρονη ανθρώπινη συνθήκη. Το ενδιαφέρον του για την τέχνη τον οδήγησε να φοιτήσει στην Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών Αθηνών, από όπου αποφοίτησε το 2022 από το Α΄ Εργαστήριο Ζωγραφικής με καθηγητή τον Άγγελο Αντωνόπουλο. Παράλληλα, παρακολούθησε μαθήματα Σκηνογραφίας και Χαρακτικής, εμπλουτίζοντας τη σχέση του με τον χώρο και την υλικότητα.

Το έργο του κινείται ανάμεσα στη σκηνογραφία και τις εγκαταστάσεις, με άξονα τη διαρκή διερεύνηση της έννοιας της μεταβολής και της ανθρώπινης αλληλεπίδρασης με το περιβάλλον. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πλήθος ομαδικών εκθέσεων, residencies και διαγωνισμών σε Ελλάδα και Τσεχία, αποσπώντας διακρίσεις. Έργα του φιλοξενούνται σε ιδιωτικές συλλογές, σε οργανισμούς του δημόσιου και του ιδιωτικού τομέα καθώς και σε πολιτιστικούς συλλόγους.

Επαγγελματικά δραστηριοποιείται στο Εθνικό Θέατρο ως ζωγράφος – γλύπτης σκηνικών, συμβάλλοντας στη δημιουργία εικαστικών κόσμων που συνδιαλέγονται με τη θεατρική πράξη. Παράλληλα, συνεχίζει την ατομική του εικαστική αναζήτηση, αναπτύσσοντας έργα που επιχειρούν να χαρτογραφήσουν τις ρωγμές και τις δυνατότητες του σύγχρονου βλέμματος.

Stavros Paneras was born in 1989 and he is living in Athens ever since. His studies in International and European Economic Studies (Athens University of Economics and Business) and his postgraduate specialization in Crisis and Disaster Management (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) formed an initial field of research around the contemporary human condition. His interest in art led him to attend the Athens School of Fine Arts, from which he graduated in 2022 from the First Painting Workshop under Professor Angelos Antonopoulos. At the same time, he attended courses in Scenography and Printmaking, enriching his relationship with space and materiality.

His work moves between scenography and installations, with a central focus on the continuous exploration of the concept of transformation and the human interaction with the environment. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions, residencies, and competitions in Greece and the Czech Republic, receiving distinctions. His works are held in private collections, public and private institutions, as well as cultural associations.

Professionally, he works at the National Theatre of Greece as a set painter and sculptor, contributing to the creation of visual worlds in dialogue with theatrical performance. At the same time, he continues his individual artistic exploration, developing works that seek to map the fractures and potentials of the contemporary gaze.
